Greek Values

Meaning

Greek Values, often simply referred to as “Greeks,” are a set of sensitivity measures utilized in options trading to quantify the risk exposure of an options position to various market factors. These values—Delta, Gamma, Vega, and Theta—provide a granular understanding of how an option’s price or a portfolio’s value changes in response to movements in the underlying asset price, volatility, or time decay. They are fundamental tools for risk management in derivatives markets.
