IAM

Meaning

IAM, or Identity and Access Management, within the context of crypto systems architecture, refers to the framework of policies, processes, and technologies used to manage digital identities and control user access to sensitive resources and functionalities. Its purpose is to verify who a user is (authentication) and determine what actions they are authorized to perform (authorization) within crypto platforms, trading systems, and digital asset custodians. This is fundamental for securing institutional crypto operations.
