Liquidation Assets

Meaning

Liquidation Assets, within the context of financial distress or insolvency proceedings for an entity, including those in the crypto space, denote all properties, investments, and claims held by the distressed entity that can be converted into cash. These assets are systematically sold off to satisfy the outstanding obligations to creditors, with the proceeds distributed according to a legally mandated waterfall priority. In crypto, this includes digital currencies, tokens, and any other convertible digital holdings.
