Market Principal

Meaning

A market principal in crypto investing refers to an entity, typically an institutional investor, proprietary trading firm, or market maker, that trades on its own account, using its own capital to take positions in digital assets, derivatives, or other crypto instruments. Unlike an agent who executes trades on behalf of clients, a market principal assumes direct market risk and seeks to generate profits from price movements, arbitrage opportunities, or providing liquidity within crypto exchanges and Request for Quote (RFQ) systems.
