Pareto Optimality

Meaning

Pareto Optimality describes a state of resource allocation where it is impossible to make one individual or system component better off without making at least one other individual or component worse off. In the context of crypto systems architecture, this concept applies to the optimization of various performance objectives, such as maximizing transaction throughput while minimizing latency, or balancing security with decentralization. It represents an ideal state where no further improvements can be made without compromises.
