Permissioned DeFi

Meaning

Permissioned DeFi refers to a segment of decentralized finance where access to protocols, liquidity pools, or specific financial services is restricted to verified and approved participants. Unlike fully permissionless DeFi, this model incorporates identity verification and compliance checks into its operational framework. Its primary purpose is to blend the efficiency and transparency of blockchain technology with the regulatory adherence required by institutional investors and traditional financial entities.
