Static Routing

Meaning

Static Routing, within blockchain networks and broader crypto infrastructure, refers to a network communication method where predefined, fixed paths are manually configured by network administrators for data packet transmission. Unlike dynamic routing, which adapts to network changes, static routes remain constant unless explicitly altered. Its purpose is to provide a predictable, stable, and computationally inexpensive means of directing data, often used in private blockchain consortia or for specific, unchanging connections between institutional nodes.
