Virtual Output Queuing

Meaning

Virtual Output Queuing (VOQ) is an advanced queuing mechanism employed in high-performance network switches designed to eliminate head-of-line (HOL) blocking. HOL blocking occurs when a packet at the front of an input queue delays subsequent packets destined for different output ports. In ultra-low latency crypto trading networks, VOQ ensures maximum throughput and minimal delay by enabling non-blocked packets to proceed without impediment.
